founders of IABA

IABA co-founders, Drs. LaVigna and Willis, have shared their knowledge and expertise to nearly 100,000 people in over a dozen countries on six continents. These trainings have been made available, and assessable to mental health and medical professionals, administrators, educators and other professionals, as well as service recipients, families, and direct service professionals. While a pioneer in competency-based training for direct service professionals, Drs. LaVigna and Willis have also assisted human service and educational agencies in developing management systems designed to enhance their managerial abilities when formal management training practices have been limited. In doing so, hundreds of organizations with a wide range of resources, both financial and human, have improved the quality of services they provide to individuals with developmental disabilities world-wide.
